Permanent lighting is a track of small LED fixtures mounted along the roofline once, then left there year round. Instead of hanging and taking down strands every season, the track stays up and the color, pattern, and brightness get changed through an app. Installation means running the track along fascia or roof edge, wiring it into a controller, and tying that controller into home wifi so it can be adjusted from a phone.
The part that matters most here is the mounting. We seal every mounting point and route wiring to keep water out, since this stays exposed to Oklahoma weather, ice, hail, and summer heat, for years without coming down.
Because it's LED on a track system, the same setup does warm white for every day, school colors on game day, and full color displays for the holidays, all without anyone getting back on a ladder.
How it runs
- Design and measure We measure the roofline and plan track runs and controller placement before install.
- Mount and seal Track is fastened to the fascia or roof edge and every mounting point is sealed against water.
- Wire and connect The track is wired to a controller, which is connected to home wifi for app control.
- Set up and test We set up the app, run through a few patterns and colors, and confirm everything responds correctly before we leave.
